More than 20 years in software, much of it in finance

I spent years as a lead engineer at Xero, in its sales and spend teams. I am now Principal, Engineering Excellence at a New Zealand-owned bank. Protecting other people's financial data is my profession, and Tax App is held to the same standard.

Why Tax App exists

Keeping track of rental or contract income should not need a subscription to a full accounting package. Most of that software is built for businesses that invoice customers, chase debtors, and run payroll. A person who owns a rental property or earns commission pays every month for many features they will never use.

Tax App covers what that person needs: what came in, what went out, current Inland Revenue (IRD) rates applied as they change, every record checked against the bank, and a set of figures an accountant can use directly. It is free during early access.

Built and stored in New Zealand

I build Tax App in Auckland, and your records, your documents, and every backup are kept in New Zealand. The security page explains how they are protected.
